All-Analog 180g Vinyl LP — Blue Note Tone Poet Series, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tape and pressed at RTI.
Organist Roosevelt "Baby Face" Willette cut just two Blue Note albums in 1961, and his debut Face to Face is a tour de force of blues-drenched soul jazz. Backed by guitarist Grant Green, tenor saxophonist Fred Jackson, and drummer Ben Dixon, Willette plays the Hammond B-3 with sanctified, gospel-rooted fervor. Produced by Joe Harley for the Tone Poet series with an iconic Reid Miles cover and deluxe tip-on jacket.
